Terms of Service

Summary: CredFlow is an independent tool that reads usage signals from AI chat platforms to help you track your own limits. It is not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google. Use it responsibly, in line with the terms of the platforms it interacts with. We provide it as-is and will do our best to keep it working.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing the CredFlow Chrome extension or accessing the CredFlow web dashboard at credflow-dashboard.vercel.app (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CredFlow is a browser extension and web dashboard that helps individual users monitor their personal AI chat usage limits on supported platforms, currently including claude.ai and chatgpt.com. The Service displays session and weekly utilization metrics, sends browser notifications at configurable thresholds, and maintains a usage history.

CredFlow is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way connected to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or any other AI platform provider.

3. Platform Interaction and Third-Party Terms

CredFlow operates by reading utilization values from the session state of supported AI chat platforms, within your browser, using the extension's content scripts. This interaction occurs on the client side within your browser and does not involve CredFlow's servers accessing those platforms on your behalf.

However, the terms of service of third-party platforms (including Anthropic's terms for claude.ai and OpenAI's terms for chatgpt.com) may restrict or limit automated interactions with their interfaces, including DOM reading by browser extensions. CredFlow does not evaluate or warrant whether your use of this extension is compliant with any third-party platform's terms.

You are solely responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms of any platform you use alongside CredFlow. CredFlow is not responsible for any account restrictions, suspensions, or other consequences imposed by third-party platforms as a result of using this extension.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CredFlow. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

5. Account Responsibilities

If you create an account, you are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us promptly at hello@credflow.app if you become aware of any unauthorized access to your account

We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account where you have not taken reasonable steps to protect your credentials.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use CredFlow in any way that:

  • Violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempts to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the extension, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law
  • Intentionally abuses or overloads our backend infrastructure
  • Creates multiple accounts to circumvent plan-based limitations
  • Resells, sublicenses, or commercially redistributes access to the Service without our prior written consent
  • Attempts to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or our systems

7. Subscriptions and Payments

CredFlow offers a free tier and a Pro tier. Pro features are available at $4.00 USD per month, billed on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe.

  • Renewals: Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain Pro access until that period ends.
  • Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial months, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.
  • Price changes: We may change the Pro pricing with at least 30 days' notice before the new price takes effect for existing subscribers.
  • Payment processing: All payments are processed by Stripe. CredFlow does not see, store, or have access to your payment card number or financial account credentials. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.
  • Downgrade: If you downgrade from Pro to Free, usage snapshots older than 90 days will be deleted within 30 days of the downgrade date.

8. Service Availability

We target 99% backend uptime but do not provide a service level agreement (SLA) or offer credits for downtime. The extension may stop functioning correctly if a supported platform updates its interface in a way that breaks our detection logic. When this happens, we will work to release a fix as quickly as reasonably possible, but we do not guarantee a specific resolution timeline.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Where reasonably possible, we will provide advance notice of significant changes.

9. Intellectual Property

The CredFlow name, logo, extension code, and dashboard code are the intellectual property of CredFlow. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our name, logo, or other brand assets. All rights not expressly granted here are reserved.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will always be available, error-free, or free from security vulnerabilities. Usage estimates displayed by CredFlow are derived from signals provided by third-party AI platforms and may not exactly reflect those platforms' internal limit calculations. You should not rely solely on CredFlow's estimates for time-sensitive decisions.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CredFlow will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any direct damages arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot be excluded by law, including in cases involving gross negligence, fraud, or mandatory consumer protection rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, if your use poses a security or legal risk to us or other users, or if we discontinue the Service. Where practical, we will provide reasonable notice before termination. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we may delete your account data in accordance with our retention policy.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@credflow.app. Account deletion requests are handled in accordance with the retention schedule described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Third-Party Services

CredFlow relies on third-party services to operate, including Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Stripe (payments). Your use of CredFlow may also be governed by the terms and privacy policies of these providers. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

14. Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern or dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service, we ask that you first contact us at hello@credflow.app and allow us 30 days to attempt an informal resolution before pursuing any formal legal action. We genuinely want to resolve issues directly and quickly.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to Section 14, any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra, India, except where applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.

16. Beta Features

From time to time, CredFlow may offer support for additional platforms or features that are designated as beta, experimental, or preview. Such features are provided as-is without any warranty, may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time without notice, and may be less reliable than generally available features. Your use of beta features is at your own discretion.

When support for new platforms is added (such as Gemini, Perplexity, Cursor, or others), this policy and our Terms will be updated accordingly to reflect how data is handled on those platforms.

17. Force Majeure

CredFlow shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to internet outages, cloud provider failures or outages (including Supabase or Vercel), actions by government authorities, labor disputes, natural disasters, or changes to the interface or terms of third-party AI platforms that cause the extension to stop functioning. We will make reasonable efforts to restore the Service as quickly as possible in such circumstances.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
